Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanne Maurer, 92, will be held at 10:00a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016, from the graveside, in Greenlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Margaret Marquis of Ocoee Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Ocoee, FL officiating. Born July 7, 1923 in St. Augustine, Florida, Mrs. Maurer died Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was retired as personnel manager from J. C. Penney Co. Mrs. Maurer was a member of Springfield Presbyterian Church and then a member of Peace Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, George Talmadge Maurer. A loving wife, mother and grandma she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Janyce Maurer (Ken) Pickett both of Jacksonville; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Shirley Sumner of Sunrise, FL; three grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Pickett, Jameson (Kelly) Pickett and Jordan (Eric) Stone; three great-grandchildren, Larkyn Pickett, Landis Pickett and Livia Pickett; and her special friend Linda Gramlich and other caregivers, Tracey Griggs, Steven Corwin, Georgyana Keyes, Valerie Cabbell and Michelle Moore.
