Mrs. Jeanne Alberta Wood, 77, a longtime resident of Keystone Heights passed away at her home on Wed., April 4, 2012. Mrs. Wood was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 28, 1934 to the late James and Sarah (Shaner) Wright. Prior to her retirement, she was a Power Systems Operator for Clay Electric. She was also a member of the Keystone Heights United Methodist Church, and was active on the United Methodist Womans District and Conference Committee. Preceded her in death were her husband, Clarence Wood, sisters; Zola Ford, Ila Mae Lennox, and Eva Porter, and her brother Buryl Wright. Survivors are her sons: Zachary Andrews (Heather) of Gainesville, Jimmy Andrews (Cecelia) of Keystone Heights, Reverend Barry Andrews of Jacksonville, brothers; Lyle Wright and Wilbur Wright both of CA, grandchildren; Brandon Andrews, Vinita Andrews, Benjamin Andrews, Sarah Anderson (Scott), and Ashley Andrews. Also surviving are her stepchildren; Richard Wood (Janice) of Maryland, Nancy Christian (Ron) of Ocala, Becky Raymond of Orange Park, Brad Wood (Cecelia) of Tampa, step grandchildren; Christopher Christian, Nicholas Christian, Jennifer Raymond (Steve), Francie Raymond, Bo Raymond, Emily Wood, and step great grandchildren; Beck Raymond, and Ashton Raymond. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, April. Memorial services will be held on Tues., April 10, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in the Keystone Heights United Methodist Church Reverend Tom Farmer and her son, Reverend Barry Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made to the Florida United Methodist Childrens Home, 51 Childrens Way, Enterprise, FL 32725.
