Jeffrey Louis Laraway

Dr. Jeffrey Louis Laraway 58 of Keystone Heights passed away at his home Monday, November 9, 2020, with his family by his side. He was born July 13, 1962, in Colorado to the late James and Beverly (Bright) Laraway. As soon as Jeff graduated from the University of Florida he began his 30 year long career with Shelton Veterinary Clinic in Interlachen as the communities newest Veterinarian. He was known throughout the surrounding counties as a gentle and caring doctor. He was a proud UF Alumni that still loved playing video games; he was also an encourager for his daughters and others. Jeff was intrigued with NASA Space Center and science in general, he also loved traveling and vacationing with his family at the beach and especially in Tennessee. He was an incredible husband and father with a great sense of humor and loved taking in a variety of animals in the past, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Jeff leaves behind his loving and dedicated wife of 28 years Susan "Suzi" (Lafond) Laraway and their four precious daughters Alicia, Melanie, Danielle and Celia all of Keystone Heights; a brother along with an Aunt and Uncle Kathy and Leland Wallace and their family. Also left behind are numerous extended family members, friends and his 18 cats that will miss him dearly. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 15, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with A Celebration of Jeffs, beginning at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Conner officiating. The family has requested Gator attire and in lieu of flowers memorial donations in Jeffs name be made to SAFE Animal Shelter. Interment will be held at a later date in the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
