Jennie Elizabeth Dix

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Elizabeth Dix, 69, will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, from the graveside, in Oaklawn Cemetery, with Dr. Daniel O. Davis, Jr. of Mandarin Baptist Church officiating. Born September 8, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida, Mrs. Dix died Monday, August 22, 2016 in Jacksonville. Mrs. Dix was retired as Supervisor of Extended Day at Windy Hill Elementary School. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was predeceased by a son, Donald Whidden Dix, Jr. and a brother, Kenneth Owens. Survivors include her husband, Donald Whidden Dix, Sr.; two sons, Kevin M. (Christine) Dix and Travis C. (Joy) Dix; and a daughter-in-law, Traci Dix, all of Jacksonville; three brothers, Irvin (Pat) Owens, Bobby (Theresa) Owens, both of Jacksonville and David (Margaret) Owens of St. Augustine, FL; and five grandchildren, Alexa, Trey, Kendall, Kaitlyn, and Allison Dix. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of George H.
