Mrs. Jennie P. Marcy, 92 of Green Cove Springs passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010. Jennie was born in Hyde Park, MA June 18, 1917, moving to Green Cove Springs with her late husband Joseph Marcy, who was serving in the U.S. Navy. She worked and retired from the Clay County School Board and later worked as a secretary for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which she was a longtime parishioner. Jennie was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Stemmler. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Bennett (George), Jeanie Browning (Richard), Linda Ledbetter (Steve), Christine Pacetti (Jay) and one son, Tommy Marcy (Anne). She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Marcy will be held at 2 Oclock on Thursday, January 14, 2010 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Donald Sullivan officiating. Viewing will be 1 hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow at the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
