Jerrie White Tucker, age 79, passed away on February 23, 2017. Born in Fort Mill South Carolina to the late Charles W. White and Leola Dukes White on November 27, 1937, the young Charleston Bell was a member of the Daughters of the America Revolution and graduated from Murray High School in 1956. A true beauty queen, Miss White competed in numerous pageants after high school. She was crowned State Queen of South Carolina and earned the title of Miss North Miami. She later became a flight attendant for National Airlines.Jerrie was a devoted wife to Lawrence "Kitt" Tucker III and together they shared 47 years of matrimony. Jerrie and Kitt were inseparable and took care of each other all of their lives. "Poppy," as Kitt is known, never left her side and remains an example to us all of what love and commitment are all about.Jerrie was a proud mother, loving grandmother and a true friend to all. She always lent an ear to anyone in need. She knew no strangers and was often referred to as the neighborhood mom, impacting many young lives. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Kitt Tucker III, daughter Dana Summerall, sons Austin Curtis Cunkle III and Lawrence Kitt Tucker IV, grandchildren Austin, Will and Lindsey Cunkle and Charlotte, Emily, Sarah and Marian Summerall.Jerrie fought a long and difficult battle with ALS.
