Jerry T. Hamm, 88 years old, went home to be with the lord and was reunited with his wife, Bea on Monday, November 18, 2024. Mr. Hamm was born on January 17, 1936 in Valdosta, Georgia. A loving husband, dad, papa and great-grandfather, Mr. Hamm was a part of the automotive scene in Jacksonville, Florida for more than sixty years; starting with Gordon Thompson Chevrolet in 1955 and retiring from Jerry Hamm Chevrolet in 2016. Mr. Hamm was a Christian man and long-time member of South Point Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Hamm was preceded in death by his father, William Clarence Hamm, Sr. and his mother, Cora Belle Nash Hamm, his three brothers; W.C. Jr., Charles and Tony; and his wife of sixty-one years, Beatrice. He is survived by his two sons; Mike (Darlene) and David (Patti), five grandsons; Nate, Brian, Jason, Kyle and Keith; five great-grandchildren; Riah Miya, Jackson, Leo, Jakeand one on the way; one brother, Joey (Debbie); two sisters; Mary Belle (A.J.) and JoAnn (Billy) and two sisters-in-law, Gloria and Brenda. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2PM in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South with Dr. Terry N. Collins and Pastor Mike Ragland officiating, burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends for the visitation on Thursday, November 21, 2024 between the hours of 6-8PM at the funeral home.
