Funeral services for Jerry Lee Rankin, 74 who passed away August 14, 2025 in Jacksonville, FL will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 2PM at Moloney-Hewell Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216 with Pastor Blake Kotur officiating, interment will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.

Mr. Rankin was born in Matoon, IL and was a long-time resident of Jacksonville, FL.  He was currently residing in Yulee, FL.  He was a painter with the Duval County School Board and he retired after twenty-two years of service. He was a veteran having served in the US Navy and was a member of the Living Water Church.  He is preceded in death by his late wife; Victoria Lee. He found love again and had thirteen great years with his wife Sarah Joyce Rankin. He was also preceded in death by two sisters; Delores Mason and Margaret Davis and two brothers; Robert McDonald and James Rankin.  Survivors include two daughters; Sara Friend (Robert) and Billie Jean Shoot (David) and four grandchildren; Cole Friend, Blake Friend, Laila Shoot and Shelby Shoot.
