Ms. Jessie Kate Thrift Capps age 85, of Keystone Heights passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015. She was born in Savannah Georgia on May 12, 1929 to the late Russell and Ora (Woodard) Thrift. She is preceded in death by her husband Herschel. She has been a resident of Keystone Heights since 1979 moving here from Jacksonville where she was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #202 in Keystone Heights. Her survivors include her two daughters, Felecia Ecord (Steve) of Jacksonville, Onessey Capps of Keystone Heights and one sister, Wylene Brandies of Keystone Heights. Survivors also include two granddaughters, Lindsey Lettow (Chris) and Katie Hurse (B.J.); two great grandsons, Chandler and Hudson and one great granddaughter Claire. "Mom always had a smile on her face and deeply loved her family and friends." A celebration of life for Ms. Capps will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Donald Dowling officiating.
