Jessie Clifton Chestnut

Jessie Clifton Chestnut was born on April 19th, 1926 in Miami, FL. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 23, 2016. J.C., as he was best known, served in the U.S. Navy for two years during WWII.He married the love of his life, Ida Bernice Todd on September 12th, 1948. J.C. and Ida were married for 68 years and together they had two sons: Jessie (Diana) Chestnut and Jerry (Annamarie) Chestnut, two daughters: Karen(David) Newsom and Beverly (Dawson) Digulimio. They also had 6 wonderful grandchildren: Crissy (Mike) Hill, Jenny (Matt) Drozd, Joey(Nicki) Carollo, Jessica (Dustin) Redmond, Cyndi (Scott) Law, and Chris Digulimio. Blessed with 15 great grand babies: Caitlyn Hill, Haley Redmond, Matthew Hill, Noah Woodrome, Melissa Hill, Lindsey Law, Alia Redmond, Lilla Redmond, Landon Law, Madison Carollo, Lacey Law, Marek Drozd, Logan Carollo, Annamarie Redmond, & Melana Drozd.Please join us as we celebrate his life on Wednesday, October 26th at Forest Meadows 4100 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32606.
