Jewel Kerns Spearrin Funeral services for Jewel Kerns Spearrin, 84, who died July 16, 2012, will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in Highlands Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Taylor and Rev. David Collins Sr., officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday (Today) from 6-8 PM at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, FL 32206. Mrs. Spearrin was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a lifelong resident. She had a long career with the Credit Bureau working there for 47 years and was an active member of Highlands Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, the late Fred M. Spearrin. Survivors include her daughter, Joy Spearrin Goethe (Andy); Son, Raymond Lawrence Spearrin (Candy); 5 grandchildren, Andy Goethe, Mitchell Spearrin (Karen), Ryan Goethe (Britni), Kyle Spearrin and Colleen Spearrin; 2 great-grandchildren, Drew Goethe and Rachel Spearrin.
