Jimmie Royden Evans

Jimmie Royden Evans age 84 of Gainesville passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. He was born to Odus Evans and Evah Karr on May 18, 1931 in Joplin, Missouri. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of the World and a retired School Crossing Guard. His service in the Armed Forces included both the Army and Navy. Jimmie was a Southern Baptist who participated in many ways in his church. He is survived by his son Brian Evans (Robyn) and granddaughter, Holly Evans all of New Port Richey, FL; a brother-in-law, Don altmix of Waldo, FL; 3 nephews, Gary Altmix of Jasper, FL, Paul Altmix of Delray Beach, FL and Carl Altmix. Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015 at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, Fl 32606.
