Mr. Jimmy Douglas Guy, age 76, of Keystone Heights passed away at his home, Friday, October 16, 2015. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on February 28, 1939 to the late Thomas and Fontella (Clark) Guy. Mr. Guy had served in the United States Army and was a retired Lieutenant Correctional Officer with the City of Jacksonville. Prior to moving to Keystone Heights 16 years ago from Jacksonville, Mr. Guy had been an active member Wessconnett Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, coach for the churchs softball league, bus driver for the youth and senior citizen trips along with keeping up with the bus maintenance. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, boating, watching the birds, and was a "do it yourself" man. He was a Mason and a member of the Morocco Temple. Mr. Guy was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Fred. His survivors are his wife of 57 years, Freda (Hurst) and their four children, Sherry Ann Blakney, Donna Sue Andrews, both of Keystone Heights, Douglas James Guy (Dana) of Jacksonville and Deborah Jo Beals (Todd) of Keystone Heights; three brothers, Billy Charles Guy (Mary) of Texas, Otis V. Guy (Betty) of Cocoa Beach, and Johnny Wayne Guy (Vicky) of Rockledge. Also left behind are his thirteen grandchildren, Thomas, Jessica, Julie, Daniel, Betina, Rebecca, Benjamin, Megan, Mallory, Craig, Danielle, Candis, and Joseph; four great grandchildren, Cloe, Kayden, Angel and Noah. Funeral services for Mr. Guy will be, Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor James Peoples and Pastor Scott Stanland officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Keystone Heights Cemetery.
