Jimmy Leroy Silcox

Mr. Jimmy Leroy Silcox age 65, of Starke passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Shands UF following an extended illness. Mr. Silcox was born on December 24, 1951 in Lake Butler to the late Roy Lee and Vernell (Clemons) Silcox and was lifelong area resident. Prior to retirement he worked as a truck driver and also held many other jobs. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Gunter Survivors are: his wife: JoAnn Silcox of Starke, Children: Jimmy Silcox (Ashlee Jenkins) of Lake Butler, Scott Silcox of Atlanta, GA, Lindsay Voght (George) of Starke, siblings: Lynn Silcox (Ruth), Jason Silcox (Michelle), Janice Silcox all of Starke, and Susan McKinney of Waldo. Also left behind are his grandchildren: Camryn Silcox, Haylee Silcox both of Lake Butler, Aleigha Voght, Jayden Voght both of Starke, and Shyanne Haddock of Hilliard. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. in Safe Harbor Church with Pastor David Hodges officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Dyal Cemetery.
