Ms. Jo Anna Arnold was born on April 12, 1926, in Coconut Grove, Florida, to the late Clifford Arnold andViola Arnold.Affectionately known as 'JoJo', Ms. Arnold began living at Tacachale - Facility I (formerly Sunland TrainingCenter), in August 1939, only eighteen years after its 1921 establishment. As one of Tacachale'slongesttermresidents, having lived on Elmwood Home and then Poplar Home, JoAnna's independent and feistyspiritendeared her to the staff, her cottage mates, and the other residents.For many years, she worked in the campus canteen; while enthusiastically participating in group outings andtraveling to various scenic spots throughout the State of Florida. She enjoyed Tacachale activities, educationaland leisure programs, church services, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration, etc. Her time sharedwith friends, especially relaxing on the patio, were a source of contentment and enjoyment.JoAnna will be affectionately remembered by her Guardian Advocate, Ms. F.V. Cockerham-Guinyard; theresidents and staff of Poplar Home; her many friends; and the generations of generous and devoted Tacachaleadministrators, social services counselors, healthcare specialists, outreach and spiritual professionals, and othercampus staff, who gently cared for her during her wonderful life at Tacachale.Remembering Ms. JoAnna Arnold with great affection and love.Forever Young at Heart...
