Mrs. Jo Ann Tankersley age 69 of Interlachen passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at her daughters home in West Palm Beach. She was born January 10, 1954, in Texas to James and Helen (Protsman) Peelman Hill. Not only did Jo Ann serve in the United States Army; she was also a mother, secretary, truck driver and financial accountant. She was a cheer leading coach, Majorette Leader, and Boy Scouts Leader. Jo Ann was also an active member of the American Legion Post #202 where she served as adjutant was involved with the K9 Line and many other bike runs and charities. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing bingo, poker, gambling, and reading (especially Stephen King). Jo Ann even enjoyed multiple gaming devices especially her PlayStation, and we cannot forget she loved her coffee and cigarettes. When she wasnt volunteering countless hours at the post or being "crafty", you could find her shopping, decorating, and spending money. She also enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and long rides on the motorcycles, along with listening to live music (anything Ozzy!!!). Eating out and finding hole in the wall places was her favorite, but being with family and her grandchildren were the best!!!!! IN addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her siblings Wayne and Patty Peelman and Betty Jackson. Jo Ann leaves behind her husband of 33 years John Tankersley of Interlachen; children Jared (Jennifer) Riddell of Dillsboro of IN, Reginia Jalbert of Delta, PA, Laura (Ben) Street of West Palm Beach, Angela Baker of Fannettsburg, PA, Amber Swain of Pasadena, MD, and Jammie Church of Aberdeen, MD. Along with grandchildren Joseph and Jacob Jalbert, Isaiah Coley, Seth Stanigar, Iashia Felter, Liam Pearson, Lillian Riddell, Zoey Craig, Lev and Damien Baker, Hannah and Ethan Ahus, Kynslee and Liam Swain. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, April 15, 2023, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and funeral services following at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Justin Brown officiating.
