.Joann Cheryl Henderson, age 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. Joann is survived by her children, Rene and Robert Halstead; grandchildren, Kristy and Tiffany (Sergio) Halstead; great-grandchildren, Desean and Olivia; her sister Sharon (Don) Fair and nieces Debbie (Patrick) Tidwell, Denise (Donnie) Burns, and Donna (Chuck) Combass, and brother Daryl (Debbie) Siewert and niece Carrie (Peter) Doherty and nephew Brian (Rebecca) Siewert; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Joann loved her family greatly and always looked forward to spending the holidays with her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Margaret Siewert and nephew Donald Fair. Joanns beautiful smile, work ethic, generous spirit, and love for her family will never be forgotten. At the age of 14, Joann started her first job at Dr. Reuters office where she fell in love with the medical field. From there she worked her way through school to become a certified radiologist technician with a career that spanned over 56 years. Joann instilled her work ethic into her children and grandchildren, wanting to be sure that when she was gone, they could take care of themselves. She was always thinking about others and was still giving even in her final days. Joann is the type of person who would give you the clothes off of her back without hesitation, and didnt expect anything in return. Joann loved the Lord. She is a member of Hope Lutheran Church. One of her favorite hobbies included playing the organ/piano. For at least 10 years, Joann was the church organist and was able to combine her love for the Lord and music. Joann will be missed greatly. She impacted everyone who she met and will never be forgotten.
