Joao das Neves Conde, 84, of Gainesville, died on Saturday, November 17, 2012, and passed into the Lord's presence at his home surrounded by his loving family. Joao was born March 28, 1928 in Aveiro, Portugal to Benjamin and Maria de Ascencao Conde.Mr. Conde moved to Gainesville 21 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was a Carpenter, a Master Craftsman and everything and anything he built or re-built was done to perfection.Joao was a member of Holy Faith Catholic Church. He was very devote, and his faith never wavered. He was a wonderful husband and father and a loving papa to his grandchildren.Mr. Conde was preceded by his son Luis. Joao is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Judite, his son John Conde, and his daughter, Irene Conde Mazza, 2 daughters-in-law, Doris Conde and Jenny Conde. He has 4 Grandchildren, Nicole and Dominick Mazza, and Mathew and Michael Conde.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., with a vigil service and Rosary being said at 6:30 p.m.The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church; 747 N.W. 43rd Ave., Gainesville. Consecration and Committal be held immediately after the mass at Forest Meadows Memorial Park, Central; 4100 N.W. 39th Ave., Gainesville.
