Joe Kenneth Davis

December 29, 1929 – February 7, 2024

Joe Kenneth Davis, a master storyteller and beloved family patriarch, passed away on February 7, 2024. Born on December 29, 1929, in Laurel Creek, West Virginia, Kenneth carried the spirit of the mountains with him throughout his long and vibrant life.

Kenneth was a man who never met a stranger and never ran out of jokes. His ability to weave a tale brought joy and laughter to every family gathering, leaving behind a legacy of humor that will be cherished for generations.

He is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Clara Ladonne Davis. His legacy lives on through his daughter, Donna Davis Keller, and her husband, James; and his daughter-in-law, Adrienne Rahn Davis.

"Papa Joe's" pride and joy were his grandchildren: James Kenneth Keller (Leslie), Gregory Scott Keller (Sarah), and Rebecca Davis Andrews (Kenneth). He was also the adored great-grandfather to seven: Avery Suzanne Keller, James Kade Keller, Harrison Lane Keller, Lawson Scott Keller, Greta May Golden, Jackson Dean Andrews, and Kenna Rose Andrews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Rosie Davis; his beloved son, Donald Andrew Davis; and his cherished granddaughter, Christina Davis Golden.

While his stories have come to an end, the echoes of his laughter remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
