John Joseph Adams, Sr., age 50, passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2018 in Jacksonville. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 19, 2018 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. with Dr. Terry N. Collins of Southpoint Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.John was born on August 29, 1967 in Waukegan, Illinois to John Paul Adams & Barbara Ann Pankratz Adams. In his youth John was a great all around athlete, playing football and baseball. He also enjoyed camping & fishing.John was preceded in death by his father.
