Mr. John Chadwick Bright, Sr. age 68, of Keystone Heights passed away at his home Friday, April 24, 2015. He was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on December 14, 1946 to the late Harold and Carol (Chadwick) Bright, and had retired as an underground utilities worker. John enjoyed NASCAR races, hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, watching animated movies with his kids, and working in his yard. He also had a talent of making leather belts and purses for his friends and family. John was preceded in death by his first wife, Beth Bright and their son, John C. Bright, Jr. and one brother, Ralph Bright. Survivors include his wife Tammy Bright; children, Amanda Bright Tyler (Carey) of New York, James Arnold Bright (Amanda) of Tampa, Carrie Cribbs (Joe) of Florahome, Heather Dyle of Green Cove Springs, Tara "Baby Girl" Vance of Keystone Heights and Heather Lee Goetzman of AR. Also left behind are his siblings, Ellen Lauritzen (Pete) of Washington, James Bright (Melissa), Gary Bright (Sue), Harold "Slim" Bright (Deborah) and Joey Bright (Cindy) all of Louisiana and Herbie Sweat of Keystone Heights; thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild along with many nieces and nephews. A memorial service for John will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning as 12 Noon.
