John "Reggie" Cauthen John Reggie Cauthen, Sr., 60, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Hospice care.Reggie was born October 16, 1953 in Sarasota, Florida to Charles and Jean (Arnold) Cauthen. He graduated from Englewood High School in 1973. He married Mary Lou Cauthen (Wise) in 1974. Reggie was employed as a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed his customers and only retired a few years prior to his passing. He was an avid train enthusiast. He also enjoyed reading, traveling, and performing in local play companies. Reggie is survived by his two sons, John (Jack) Cauthen, Jr and his wife Tiffany of Jacksonville, FL and Ryan Cauthen also of Jacksonville, FL; his partner Lee Matthews of Jacksonville, FL; his mother Jean Cauthen of Jacksonville, FL; and his two brothers, Greg Cauthen, and his wife Brenda of Houston, TX and Chuck Cauthen, and his wife Sue of Jacksonville, FL. His father, Charles, and his wife Mary Lou preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, January 25 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6320 Bennett Rd, Jacksonville, Florida 32216 with Fr. Callistus Onwere officiating.
