John Thomas "Tom" Davis

John Thomas "Tom" Davis, Jr. age 43, of Melrose passed away at his home, Tuesday, September 20, 2016. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia on December 4, 1972 and graduated with the class of 1991 from Keystone Heights High School. Tom was a Pipefitter/Welder for the LU 234, and he was also an avid hunter. He loved spending time with his friends and family every chance he had. Tom was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Davis, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Amy (Triest) Davis; stepdaughter, Jenna Moss; his mother, Brenda Kay (Smith) Davis of Tavares; two sisters, Barbi Davis of Gainesville and Kelly Thomas of Macclenny; one niece, Samantha Kidd and two nephews, Dylan Kidd and Peter Rivera along with his Uncle Wayne Davis of Gainesville and Aunt Joyce Roffe of Madison. Also left behind are his Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jimmy Barber and their children, Ben and Vinny, his Great Aunt Margaret and Amys parents, Ernie and Vanessa Triest of Theressa. A memorial service for Tom will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 26, 2016 in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Timmy Givens officiating.
