Obituary

Mr. John G. Davison, 84 formerly of Keystone Heights passed away at the Legacy Hospice House in Ocala on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Mr. Davison was born on August 12, 1927 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada to the late Albert T. and Mary H. (Potter) Davison and had served in the Canadian Army during World War II. In 2005, Mr. Davison became a resident of Ocala moving from Keystone Heights where he had been a resident since 1997. Prior to retirement, he and his wife had owned and operated a Ceramics Hobby Shop. He was a member of the Keystone Heights United Methodist Church, was very active with the Senior Center in Keystone Heights, and was a member of the Duval Lodge #159 and the F. & A.M. Morocco Temple Shrine. Mr. Davison was preceded in death by his one brother Tom Davison, and three sisters, Annie Lawrence, Belle Seabrooke, and Mary Lasenby. Survivors are his wife of 65 years; Colleen Davison of Ocala and their two children; Gerry Winship (Rick) of Akron, OH and Donald Davison (Judy) of Parma, OH. He also leaves behind his two sisters; Mildred Jackson of Trenton, OH, Kay Foslett of Sarnia, Canada, five grandchildren, Mark, Sherri, Tiffany, Steffany, Mellany, and one great granddaughter, Kadence. A memorial service or Mr. Davison will be held at a later date. The family has requested contributions to please be made to the St. Judes Hospital for Childrens Research, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
