John Barton Doolette, 87, of Ponte Vedra Beach, passed away June 24 2015. Born in South Australia, John was only child of Dorham and Isabell (nee Barton) Doolette. John was an internationally renowned agricultural scientist specialising in dryland farming. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from University of Adelaide, he spent his early career in South Australia before working as a specialist adviser in Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon and finally Washington DC when he continued to provide advice internationally through his position at the World Bank. He retired in Florida with his second wife Nancy Bennett Doolette (deceased). He is survived by his five children from his first wife Helen (deceased): Ian (Heather), Ann (Henry), Jane, Peter (Lisa), David (Cindy) and eleven grandchildren. Also his four step-children from his second wife Nancy: Robert, Martha (Al), Milo (Simeone), Jane Ann (John) and five step-grandchildren. His funeral to be held on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 10AM in the chapel of George H.
