Francis, John E. PhDDr. John E.Francis,PhD, passed away October 16, 2017. He was born on January 25, 1932, in Toronto, Canada to Arthur M. and Ida Francis. He was preceded in death by his sister Florence Hamilton. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Bigna, his sons Peter, (Karen), Robert, (Karen), daughter, Patricia Smith, (Jeffrey), eight grandchildren, Kristina Francis, Kim Francis Gary Garnes, Katherine Francis, Victoria Francis, Alexandra Francis, Jake Smith and Jessica Smith. John was very gentle, kind, and sweet man. He will be greatly miss by his family, extended family, friends, and his many caregivers. Visitation will be held Friday 10-20-17 from 3:30 to 4:00pm with a services to follow at 4:00pm at Forest Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 725 NW 23rd Ave., Gainesville, Fl 32609.
