John Thomas "Grumpy" Kennedy, Sr, 73, of High Springs, Florida, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. John was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 21, 1949 to Clyde Thomas and Theresa Kennedy. John was married to Susanne. John was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U S Air Force and the New Jersey Air National Guard. He worked in inventory control for Dollar General. He enjoyed making clocks. He was also involved in the American Legion Post 149 in Newberry and the DAV. John is survived by his wife, Susanne; son, Jeremy; daughter, Jennifer (Terry) Schulz; granddaughter, Ana Schulz; great-grandson, Michael; brothers, Charles, Joseph, and Lawrence; and sister, Clare Cinnelli. John is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Thomas and Theresa and his son, John T. Kennedy, Jr. The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at St. Madeleine Catholic Church, 17155 NW US Hwy 441, High Springs, Florida. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Evans Carter Funeral Home, 18724 High Springs Main Street, High Springs, Florida.
