John George Ketterer

John George Ketterer, age 55, passed away on Thursday February 14, 2019 at his home in Jacksonville. A retired Officer in the United States Navy, Mr. Ketterer will be interred with Military Honors at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday February 21, 2019 in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218. Mr. Ketterer dedicated 23 years of his life serving our country with pride, loyalty, and hard work. He accelerated to the top with determination and his family could never be more proud of his accomplishments.John was a passionate and devoted father and grandfather. He has taught his children & grandchildren how to treat people with kindness, to have patience, to work hard and that they were all capable of achieving anything they dreamed. He taught them the meaning of family, to always have each other's back and to love each other no matter what. He demonstrated how we should treat each other by watching him & his siblings unbreakable, beautiful and loving bond. He loved his family so much... and made sure we knew it every day. He and his wife Jean have been together since they were teenagers. They have taught and showed their family what true love is, how work and dedication are needed, and through good or bad times- to never give up, love never dies.He will be remembered as an intelligent, spiritual, sensitive, and compassionate man.
