Mr. John C. Kilby, age 59 of Starke, passed away at North Florida Regional in Gainesville on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 with his family by his side. John was born on December 9, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Ronald and Joyce (Campbell) Kilby. John was employed with the University of Florida where he worked as a Finance Supervisor. He was an avid Gator fan and will be remembered as a fun loving jokester. John had the ability to find the right person for every job, was a great teacher and volunteered with his wife, Kimberly Kilby, at the City Rescue Mission.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by; brother, Ronnie Eugene Kilby; and two infant sons. Survivors are: his wife, Kim Kilby of Starke; children, James Kilby of Starke, Jessica (David) Green of Starke, and John Logan Kilby of Starke; brothers, David Kilby of Starke and Dinky (Cindy) Kilby of Starke; sister: Belinda Kilby Goetzman, his fur baby, Shadow; and his grandchildren, Noah, Jessilyn, Remington, Hayden, and Austin.Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018 in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel. Burial will take place at Santa Fe Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jimmy Scott.In lieu of flowering donation may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Mr. John C. Kilby: American Cancer Society P.O.
