John W. Linko, Jr. John W. Linko, Jr., 70, passed away November 24, 2011 at Memorial Hospital. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on August 26, 1941 to John W. Linko, Sr. & Helen E. Linko. John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving aboard the USS F.D. Roosevelt during the Vietnam War. A longtime resident of Jacksonville, John worked 43 years for the Drummond Printing Company. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and V.F.W. John was preceded in death by his parents and his infant sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bonnie Crews Linko; daughters, Beth Graham(husband, Bill) & Angela Linko; sister, Shirley Spontak(husband, David); brother, David Linko; many extended family members and friends that include his honorary grandchildren & great grandchildren; his grandcats, Purrsea, Eartha & Princess and granddog, Gracie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday November 28, 2011; with a Vigil Service to begin at 6:00 pm, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday November 29, 2011 in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 6320 Bennett Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32216, with Fr. Michael J. Larkin as Celebrant. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
