John Thomas Stafford

Mr. John Thomas Stafford 77 of Melrose passed away at his home Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born January 5, 1944, in Dalton, Georgia to the late JT and Edith (Brackett) Stafford. Prior to his retirement he was Vice President of Data Processing for a loan servicing technology firm in Jacksonville. He was a member of Community Church of Keystone Heights and had a passion for golfing and snow skiing; he also enjoyed fishing and always had projects going on. Mr. Stafford was known for always being there to help others and being someone that family and friends could count on. His survivors are his loving and devoted wife of 42 years Susan (McGilvray) Stafford of Melrose; a son Gregory Bryan Stafford of Tennessee; siblings Ann Biggs (Dan) of Wyoming, Don Stafford (Johnnie Hue) and Jeanette Kinley all of Tennessee along with a grandson Bryan Thomas Stafford (Georgie) and three great grandchildren Hayleigh, Freya and Jack who reside in Colorado. There will be a Celebration of Life for Mr. Stafford at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2021, in the Community Church of Keystone Heights sanctuary with Pastor Rob Morford and Pastor Ray Peters officiating. Interment was private at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.
