John Calvin Teele

John Calvin Teele, 79, of Gainesville died on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Haven Hospice. John Calvin was born on August 6, 1935, in Bronwood, Georgia, son of the late John Robert Teele and the late Margaret Rainey. He was employed by the USDA in Gainesville, Florida as an engineer. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. John Calvin, known as "Bubba" to his loved ones, was an avid outdoorsman and loved any time spent on the water. He enjoyed gardening, gospel music, canoeing, fishing, and being around his family. He was married to Polly Marie Teele on May 27, 1956 in Americus, Georgia. He is also survived by three children, six grandchildren, and four great-grand children: Rosemary Storch (Ed), Chris Teele (Karen), John Teele (Kim), Kimberly Storch, Brandon Storch (Jennifer), Brittany Teele (Michael), Zack Teele (Anna), John Teele (Shauna), Brooke Teele. He also survived by Pat and Cathy Bock, and Judy Everett, as well as many nieces and nephews.Viewing and visitation will take place on Sunday, June 21 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Forest Meadows Funeral Home. Memorial service will take place on Monday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Haven Hospice or Wesley United Methodist Church.
