Johnnie Edward Carter

Mr. Johnnie Edward Carter age 82, of St. George, GA passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Shands Starke. Mr. Carter was born on November 26, 1933 in Alma, Georgia to the late Paul L. and Edith (Hand) Carter. He was a retired truck driver for the Dixie Egg Company and was raised in the Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Baby Girl Carter with wings. Survivors are: his wife of 62 years, Katherine "Kat" (Manders) Carter of St. George, Children: Keith Carter (Eloise) of New York, Vickie Carter, Eddie Carter (Diane) all of Hilliard, FL, Gail Burgholzer (Mike), Lynn Carter (Theresa) all of St. George, Angela Edwards (David) of Hilliard, FL, Glenn Carter and Red of St. George, and Regina Taylor (Allen) of Lawtey, FL. He is also survived by his siblings: DeWitt Carter and Evelyn Carter of Hilliard, FL and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the NEW LIFE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1058 Wheeler Street in St. George, GA on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 2 oclock.
