Mr. Johnnie Franklin Fussell, 85 of Keystone Heights died Sun. Oct. 11, 2009 in Starke. Mr. Fussell was born in Axson, GA on Aug. 15, 1924 and was a retired Chief of Training for the Jacksonville Fire Dept. In 1987, Mr. Fussell moved to Keystone Heights. He was of the Mormon faith, member of the Lions Club, and served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Mary Frances (Thornton); two sons: Robert Fussell (Hilda) and John Fussell (Eugenia); one Brother: Billy Fussell (Grace) and three sisters in laws; Ruby Fussell, Frankie Mae Fussell, and Jackie Fussell. Brother in law: Robert Thornton (Mary). Grandchildren: Robert Fussell, II (Rebecca), Holly Futch (Chad) and Katie Fussell (Fianc?, Anthony Nelson). Great grandchildren: Robert Cody Fussell, Emma Futch, Audrey Futch, David Cardoso, Jacquelyn Walker, and Britney Walker. Mr. Fussell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations please be made to the Haven Hospice of your choice. Following the graveside services, all family and friend are invited to gather together at 6778 Bedford Lake Rd., Keystone Heights, FL 32656. Viewing for Mr. Fussell will be held on Tues. Oct. 13, 2009 from 6-8 in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be held on Wed. Oct. 14, 2009 at 1 Oclock with President Timothy Fussell and Mr. Wayne Doolittle officiating. Burial will be at the Keystone Heights Cemetery 7400 West State Road 100, Keystone Heights, FL 32656. Arrangements are under the care of JONES-GALLAGHER Funeral Home, 340 E.
