Mr. Johnny Lee Farmer, age 73 of Middleburg, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Baptist Clay Medical Campus in Fleming Island. Mr. Farmer was born August of 1939 to the late Louis and Willie Farmer in Cordele, Georgia. He worked for Vallencourt Construction for 20 years as a heavy equipment operator and was very good at working the machinery. Mr. Farmer enjoyed collecting antiques, unique items and bottles. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia Pat Farmer, children, Linda Gilliland and husband, Jim of Keystone Heights, Rocky Carlin, Jr. and wife, Misty, Jon Michael Carlin and wife, Amanda all of Middleburg, Tonya Farmer and Duncan Farmer both of Jacksonville. Mr. Farmer is also survived by his loving care-taker, Jenny Lee Owens, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Helm-Gallagher Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Register officiating.
