Jolene K. Gardner Jolene K. Gardner Jose of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly from Baileys Harbor, WI passed away 24 October 2011 at Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville FL, after battling a long and courageous bout with Lung Disease. She was born July 25th l938 in Baileys Harbor to Lester and Lorraine Viste. After graduating from Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek she married Leo Gardner on June l3th 1959 at Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, Baileys Harbor. Jolene moved to Norfolk, Virginia where Leo was stationed in the United States Navy. In 1972 after retiring from the Navy, Jolene and Leo moved back to Door County. In 1993 Jolene and Leo made Jacksonville, Florida their final retirement location where Leo preceded her in death in 1995. Jolene was always surrounded by close friends and always made it a point to keep in touch with her friends from afar. Jolene was an avid supporter of the Humane Society and dearly loved her pets. She enjoyed playing Poker, cribbage, and especially BINGO. It didnt really matter what the game was she was always willing to give it a go. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her grandson. Jolene is preceded in death by her parents Lester & Lorraine Viste, husband Leo, son Mark, brother Earl Viste, and half- brother Harold Viste.
