Obituary

Josefina Betancourt Campaneria passed away peacefully in her home on October 1, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born in Havana, Cuba, but due to the Communist regime in 1961, she immigrated to the United States with her family. She settled in Jacksonville, Florida with her late husband, (Rafael), and their two children, Ralph and Josie. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who fully embraced life to its fullest. She loved travelling the globe with friends both near and far. Among her many hobbies was being an avid canasta player and enjoying the beach and gym activities at Ponte Vedra Inn and Club. As a devout Catholic, she was a member of San Jose Catholic Church for over 30 years before relocating and becoming an usher at Holy Family Catholic Church for over 27 years. But most of all, Josefina's greatest treasure was being surrounded by the love of her adoring family.Josefina is survived by her daughter Josie Koppenberger and her husband James Koppenberger along with her son Ralph Campaneria and his wife Doreen Campaneria; her five grandchildren Krista Koppenberger, Justin Koppenberger, Alex Campaneria, Christopher Campaneria, and Rachel Campaneria.A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Florida with Rev.
