Joseph "Joey" Frank Califano

Mr. Joseph "Joey" Frank Califano, Jr. age 73, of Keystone Heights passed away at his home Thursday, May 3, 2018. He was born September 29, 1944 in Jacksonville to the late Joseph Frank and Santa Rose (DeRosa) Califano. Joey was a Service Advisor with North Florida Lincoln Mercury before retiring to Keystone Heights in 2002. He was a parishioner of St. William Catholic Church and had served in the National Guard with the 146th Signal Battalion. Joey was also a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and past Vice President of Save Our Lakes Association. Survivors are his beloved wife of 54 years, Constance "Connie" Califano of Keystone Heights and their two children Lorraine Califano (Timothy Holloway) of Middleburg, and Billy Califano (Rebecca) of Keystone Heights; brother, Gerard Califano (Judy) of Highlands, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Kayla Vera (Allan), Dalton Califano, Michael Shirley, Josh Myer (Chris), Elijah Myer, and Ryan Holloway; one great grandchild Easton Myer; along with numerous other family members and friends.The family will receive friends Monday, May 7, 2018 at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at St. William Catholic Church with Father Mike Williams presiding. Interment will immediately follow at the Keystone Heights Cemetery.Memorial contributions in Joeys name may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
