Joseph Edward "Joe" Cox

Mr. Joseph Edward "Joe" Cox age 63, of Starke passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, in Gainesville following a brief illness. He was born July 15, 1957, in Starke and graduated with the class of "75" from BHS. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force. Joe was the lead H.V.A.C. Specialist for the Bradford County School Board System. He was an active member of Kingsley Lake Baptist Church where he also served as Deacon; he enjoyed woodworking, taking trips in his RV, and working on his Model T. In general, Joe loved people and serving his community and church. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary "Elizabeth" (Turbeville) Cox. His survivors are his loving and devoted wife of 34 years Norma (Webb) Cox of Starke and their daughters Angela Looney (Brett) of Alachua and Laura Isaacson (Jeremy) of Ponte Vedra Beach; his father Henry "Earl" Cox of Starke and a sister Ann Cooper (Lewis) of Bonaire, Georgia. He was lovingly called "Granddaddy" by Jackson, Hayes, Gunnar and Tanner. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 11, 2021, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Kingsley Lake Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Jonathan Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow in Kingsley Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Kingsley Lake Baptist Church, 6289 May Dot Lane, Starke, FL 32091.
