Joseph "Jose" Angelo Pizzi, passed away on March 26, 2022. Jose was born to Joe and Olga Pizzi on October 4, 1961 in Washington, DC.He attended Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he graduated in 1979. He went on to study accounting and business administration at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga where he earned a Bachelor Degree of Science in 1984.Upon graduation, he moved to Cocoa Beach where he began his successful accounting career in the the cruise industry, which included nuclear waste removal, medical advancement and personal finance and investments, which was his passion.He is survived by his loving sister, Olga Pizzi, his nephew, Robert Garcia, his niece, Christina Garcia, Anamari Garcia and his beloved cousins Marie Sikes, Luis Mares and Robert Dominguez.His spirit and life will be celebrated at a Celebration of Life Gathering at Jonathan's Pub on April 9th from 7-9 pm.In lieu of flowers and in recognition of his medical team at the University of Florida, Health Shands Hospital, who were so devoted to his health and research in the area of organ transplant, memorial contributions may be made in Jose's memory to the University of Florida Health Shands Fund. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at a later date.
