Mr. Joseph Victor Perfetti, 83 of Green Cove Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in Palatka. Mr. Perfetti was born December 19, 1939 in Newton, New Jersey to parents Joseph and Elise (McDevit) Perfetti. Joseph was a 1958 graduate of Newton High School and went on to serve in the United States Army. He was a Purple Heart recipient and was cited for heroism while serving in the Vietnam war. Following his military service, he was a house painter for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosemary Franco (Frank) and Suzanne Mudry. Survivors are his daughter, Chrystal Perfetti, grandchildren, Marcus Latham (Brienna Coon), Janasia Izqulerdo, Niko Izqulerdo, great grandchildren, Olivia Latham, Sophia Latham, and Amilia Latham, and nieces and nephews, Gary Franco (Colleen), Billy Franco (Sara), George Mudry (Stephanie) and Stacey Mudry. Burial will be held in Jacksonville National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
