Joseph "Joe" Gilbert Ross, 85, of Norfork, Arkansas, passed away on July 2, 2022. He was born in Felsmere, Florida, on August 2, 1936 to Edward and Elizabeth Ross. Joe was married to Fannie "Ann" Vinzant Ross for 63 years.He graduated from Gainesville High School. Joe worked as a land clearer and farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sawmilling, farming and raising cattle.He is survived by his wife, Fannie; his sons, Edward Ross and Calvin Ross, both of Gainesville, Florida; his daughters, Elaine (Kenney) Cobb and Annette Ross, both of Alachua, Florida; his grandchildren, Joseph Ross, Jonathan Ross, Nathaniel Ross, Biven Cobb, Tyler Cobb, Nevaeh Ross, Brittany Sardinas, and Jennifer Wheatley; and his great-grandchildren, Hunter Sardinas, Rhett Ross, Madison Ross, and Wyatt Wheatley.Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Elizabeth Ross.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at St Johns Church, 26000 NW CR 239, Alachua, Florida.
