Joseph Anthony Joe SammarroMr. Joseph Anthony Joe Sammarro age 84, of Keystone Heights passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville. Mr. Sammarro was born on November 22, 1927 in Nutley, New Jersey and moved to Flkorida in 1990. Prior to retirement Joe was the ower/operator of Sammarro the Florist. and served in the United States Army. He was of the Catholic Faith. Survivors are: his wife Louise Sammarro of Keystone Heights; sons: Michael Sammarro of New York; Robert Sammerro of New Jersey; Steven Sammarro of California; Daniel Sammarro of Pennsylvania; step-sons: Robert Woodard of Virginia; Richard Woodard of Florida; sisters: Lou Scarpa and Dorothy Nazzaro both of New Jersey; brother: Michael Sammarro of New Jersey; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial services for Mr. Sammarro will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
