Funeral services for Josephine Wood Ray, 77 whom passed away on May 29, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL will be held at 11AM on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Bartram Baptist Church, 13233 Old St. Augustine Road Jacksonville, FL 32258 with the Rev. Lee Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends Wednesday June 5, 2024 from 6-8PM at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Boulevard, South Jacksonville, FL 32216.Mrs. Ray was born Camden, NJ and was a resident of Jacksonville, FL since 1975. She was a member of Bartram Baptist Church.She is proceeded in death by her loving husband of almost fifty years, the late Deacon Roland Bryon Ray Sr. She is survived by; her daughter Darlene Whitehead, two sons; Roland Byran Ray, Jr. (Missy) and Micah Joseph Ray; one sister, Elizabeth Bricky, five grandchildren; Tucker Ray, Bailey Ray, Kourtni Ray, Sheena Crews and Joshua Whitehead; three great-grandchildren; Raelyn Griffin, Houston Griffin and Jaycee Lee Crews.
