Joshua Paul Manley, 32, of Gainesville Florida, lost his life on Friday, December 1st, 2023. Josh was born on February 3rd, 1991, in Hollywood, Florida to Tim and Petrini Manley. Josh was always highly intelligent, even as a child he would take apart electronics around the house and build homemade creations with wires, foil, motors, and whatever else he could get his hands on. He excelled at everything he put his mind to, enjoying hockey, baseball, karate, and even winning chess competitions. He was always self-taught. He loved to travel and visit family around the world. As he grew older, he became passionate about blockchain development and worked in Japan to build Bitcoin rigs. Returning to the States, he opened his own Lawn Care and Landscaping company.Josh is survived by his parents, Tim and Petrini Manley, and his siblings, David and Elizabeth, and many extended family members including his grandmother, Elizabeth. He also leaves behind a beloved girlfriend, Lauren.Services will be held at Forest Meadows Cemetery-Central on Friday, December 8th, with visitation at 11am and the ceremony at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to NAMI Gainesville, an organization that offers free mental health support, online groups, resources, and education.
