Ms. Joy Ann Newsom age 62, of Starke, passed away July 18, 2015 at Shands UF. Joy was born on April 16, 1953 in St. Petersburg to the late Virgil Carter and Catherine Lillian (Cook) Newsom. Prior to retirement she worked for the Florida Department of Corrections. She enjoyed crafts, fishing and spontaneous travel. Survivors are: her sister: Dorothy, brothers: Tommy and Steve and her niece Kim Wood. Bring memories to share and join Dorothy, Kim and her friends for a celebration of life service on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Bayless Highway Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Stading officiating.
