Joyce Huband Jones

Joyce Huband Jones was born on November 19, 1923 and passed peacefully on July 12, 2017 at the age of 93.Joyce was born in Wilmington, NC. She graduated from New Hanover High School in 1940 and moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1960 when her husband was transferred with Atlantic Coastline Railroad. Joyce was a member of St. Nicholas Park Christian Church, where she was a Deacon Emeritus and a very active and faithful member for over 50 years.She is preceded in death by her husband Edward H. Jones, Sr. of 53 years, parents Ralph and Hazel Huband, sister Gerry Stanley. She is survived by brother Ralph (Barbara) Huband Jr., Neptune Beach, FL, her four children Margaret Stahl (Dan) of Wilmington, NC, Edward H. Jones Jr. (Annette), Marian Mobley (Doyle), and Ellen Chiafair (Joe) all of Jacksonville, FL.Grandchildren: Dennis Stahl, Daryl Stahl (Leslie) of NC, Ryan Jones, Kaitlyn Wenzel, Kyle Wenzel (Cortney) of Jacksonville, Brendan Wenzel (Sarah) of CA, Carrie Valentine (John) of CT, Casey Mobley, Catherine and Joseph Chiafair of Jacksonville, Dan Chiafair of MA, Jessica Brewer (John) of VA as well as 8 great grandchildren.Visitation for Joyce, will be held on Wednesday, July 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20th at St. Nicholas Park Christian Church, 3226 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207 at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
