Joyce M. LaBoy, 80, went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2014, in Live Oak, FL. She was born in Live Oak on October 5, 1932, to Oma and Thelma Sheffield Meeks.Joyce had been living in Live Oak for the past few years, and prior to that lived in Gainesville since 1980. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, and had been active in many organizations. First and foremost in Joyce's life was her Love the Lord and her Family, for those of you who knew Joyce knew she was an avid FL Gator fan.Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Monico LaBoy, Sr., son David, grandson, Taylor, brother, William R. Meeks and her sister, Frania CarrollShe is survived by 3 sons, Richard, Monico "Monty" Jr., and Ralph, a daughter Betty Adazzio, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church, Gainesville, FL.
