Joyce Ann Perry

Joyce Ann Perry, 77, of Gainesville, FL, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at her home. Joyce was born in Gainesville, FL, on October 13, 1941. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Cora Lee Bashaw and Charles Perry, Sr, her sisters: Chris Brown and Dorothy Perry During her life; she also lived in Winter Haven and Kissimmee, FL. She was happy to return to Gainesville where she lived these last few years of her life with her daughter, Donna and her husband, Tom. Joyce was of the Catholic faith and was active at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Gainesville and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee. She worked as a receptionist, care taker and in sales, but her most important vocation was as a mother and grandmother. She was happiest at family gatherings, especially if the grandchildren and great grandchildren were there and she adored the beach. She is survived by her brother, Charles Perry, her children: Debra Scarabino (Mario), Donna Geoffroy (Tom) and Donald May, and her grandchildren: Ashley Chin (Alex), Alexander Scarabino, Zachary Geoffroy, Matthew Geoffroy, Hannah May and Liam May. She also has three great grandchildren: Noah Chin, Ezra Chin and Gabriel Chin. A memorial service for Ms. Perry will be held at Forest Meadows Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11:00 am, followed by private family interment at the graveside.
