Joyce Lee Winstead

Mrs. Joyce Lee Winstead, age 84, of Starke passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Shands Starke Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Joyce was born in Williamson, West Virginia on March 21, 1933 to James and Edna Maynard. She moved to Starke with her husband and children in 1971 from Detroit, Michigan and was a homemaker. Joyce was a member of the Church of Christ, and enjoyed gardening. She especially loved growing butterfly gardens and African Violets to enter in to the county fair. Joyce will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 46 years, Carley Dale Winstead. Joyce is survived by her beloved sons, Michael Winstead (Marilyn Godwin) of Starke, and Dwayne Winstead of Starke. Also left behind, is her granddaughter, Valerie Wade (Glen); as well as numerous other family members, and friends.A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2018 at DeWitt C.
